Shipping Information

If at all possible, please do not have any shipments arrive before March 25. If you must send something to arrive before then, make sure that the carrier knows that they will have to call Everts so that someone can be at the hangar to receive the package. Also, anything that arrives before the 25th will be stored outside unless clearly marked as temperature sensitive. (They are going to be power washing the floors.) If you are not going to be there when your shipment arrives, please let Debbie Ronfeld (509.375.6320) know.

Badging

Badging has been difficult. At the onset of the campaign, the only DOE employees badged will be Debbie Ronfeld (509.392.1854) and Lynne Roeder (509.521.2922). Another 8 people will be badged when they arrive in Fairbanks, and if all goes well, those badges will be ready within 10-14 days. NASA and NOAA will each have several badged personnel; we are working together to ensure that there will be enough coverage.

Please abide by the "SITA rule" while in the hangar. That is: If you are in the hangar, you must be within sight of badged personnel. Those that are badged will make sure that the ratio is kept within compliance. If you need to go out on the ramp, then you must have a badged person escort you out to the airplane. The NRC pilots will not need an escort, but cannot escort others.

Office Space

Please see map. The map of your assigned office will be posted on a bulletin board inside the front door. We are sharing this office space with NASA and NOAA, and it is a tight fit. Please be aware of those working around you and respect each others work space. If your assigned space does not work for some reason, please talk with Debbie (509.392.1854) and she will work to come up with a solution.

Access to offices. A key lock will be located by the front door of the building and everyone will be given the code. Please replace the key after unlocking, so the next person will be able to get in. The office space is UNESCORTED, so you are free to move within the building. However, if you want to go into the hangar you need to make sure that you are with a badged escort or that someone is at the desk right outside the door.
